Hi Patrick,

You should be able to SET a budget to REMOVED status using the BudgetService

 as
discussed here

However, in order to better understand the issue you are encountering,
could your provide the generated SOAP request and response? You may reply

My apologies for the inconvenience that you are encountering with your

Re: Reporting Crash with v201802

2018-03-15 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Pete,

This seems to be an issue on your set-up with the PHP client library for
v201802 and not AdWords API specific, since you said that v201710 is
working and only the v201802 has this error. I suggest to post this concern
here as the library
owners can provide better assistance on PHP client library specific
issues/concerns.

Reporting Crash with v201802

P Anand : Mar 15 03:25AM -0700

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked the apache logs and get nothing in them. The problem is there
are no errors and the response in browser console is 200, so there is no
indication of the error.

However, I created a new project with just googleads/googleads-php-lib
using composer. composer.json is as follows

"require": {
"php": ">=5.5.9",
"google/auth": "^1.0.0",
"googleads/googleads-php-lib": "^33.1.0"
}

I am running a test report with the same code as previously posted and now
I am getting the following error:

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Parsing Error

Message: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{'

Filename: Normalizer/GetSetMethodNormalizer.php

Line Number: 59

Backtrace:

My PHP Version is as follows

PHP 5.6.34-1+ubuntu14.04.1+deb.sury.org+1 (cli)

I have also tried the same code on a different machine with PHP v 7.2.3 on
Ubuntu 16.04 , but no success on that either.

I appreciate you help. I look forward for your reply.

Thanks and Regards

FeedItemAdGroupTarget for Multiple AdGroups

Jon Skeen : Mar 14 12:48PM -0700

Hello,

I'm wondering if FeedItemAdGroupTarget can be used to target multiple ad
groups per feed item. I.e., I have a feed item that I want multiple ad
groups to use. The documentation seems to imply this is possible:

> Starting in v201802, you can use FeedItemTargetService to restrict
> individual feed items to only target specific campaigns, ad groups, or
> criteria.

However when actually attempting to set this up I get
a FeedItemTargetError.TARGET_LIMIT_EXCEEDED_FOR_GIVEN_TYPE error. So I'm
assuming this is not possible, but I cannot find a definitive answer in the
documentation and any additional clarity would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance,
- Jon

"Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)" : Mar

Hi,

You'll only see the AdWords API Center if your manager account is *not* a
test manager account. Unfortunately, the only way to determine if the
account is a test manager account is:

1. Click on the wrench in the upper right corner
2. Click on *Return to previous AdWords* in the upper right corner of
the menu that pops up
3. Look for a red banner with *This is a test account!*

If you're still having trouble, please send your customer ID (xxx-xxx-)
to me by clicking *Reply privately to author* and I'll take a look.

Re: "Total" text overwrites metric total in performance report summaries

2018-03-15 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tiana,

This is a known issue. You are right that the 'Total' text is overwriting
the total for video played for 25%. To overcome this, you can include an
attribute from the Video Performance Report

 as
your first column which will not need to display a total.

updating shared fields in price extension

2018-03-15 Thread gil magali
Hi

If i want to update 1 of the shared fields [TYPE ,PRICE_QUALIFIER ,TRACKING
TEMPLATE , LANGUAGE ... ] of specific price extension throw API then i need
to return all the table row item also otherwise they will be deleted?

in this section

its said "To prevent the new settings from overwriting the old settings,
remember to send back all feed items, even if you're modifying just one
item."

so my question is if im changing any field i need to return all feed items?
or for example not using *priceFeedItem.setTableRows() *will keep my old
table rows.

Thanks
Gil

Google AdWords Developer Token Approval Email

2018-03-15 Thread hsn . elamir . manager
Hello

I'm managing a big website with million of daily visitors for online gaming
and also a developer with passion to automate most of daily life tasks, Ten
days ago i applied for AdWords developer token to automate my campaigns
keyword research process using my internal command line app which im the
only one will going to use, my application got rejected as it cant use
keyword research only (as per AdWords poilcy) i locked myself up in my room
for another sven days coding day and night till i finished a complete
solution that can take my csv file and create campaigns on the fly for
thousands of highly optimized ads with one click, i re-submitted my
application this time with confidant that im aligning with google AdWords
policies %100 (i even shared my complete source code using a public
repository in the design document), i got below answer from approval team

"The account you applied from does not have much spend history in
AdWords..."

I'm a little confused, despite the fact that i spent hundred of hours
creating my app, and im complying %100 with AdWords policies, i can't find
a single line that refer to AdWords spending history to be pre-approved !
or any reference for spending limits to start submitting the application .

I'm really tired and not sure what to do next, feeling like shooting the
dark, Anyone know can help me with this ? i really appreciate some help
here to get approved from experienced people like you.

Thanks in advance

Re: AdWords test batch API takes too long

2018-03-15 Thread Lukas Lukac
Hi @Millind,

1) the exponential back off is on purpose, that's fine
2) at the end of the day I think I found the issue. I was uploading almost
30k active Campaigns and later on I found out there is a limit of 10k
campaigns per account right? So maybe that particular error scenario was
very slow. Tomorrow I will try to upload only 10k campaigns, each with 50
targeting and hopefully the BatchJobs will be processed quickly. I will get
back to you with the result.

Thx

Re: AdWords test batch API takes too long

2018-03-15 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Lukas,

Please find my response below:

   1. If you are using our code samples, the batch job's wait time may be
increasing in each poll attempt. That is because the code samples

are coded to poll using an exponential back off. You could change this
logic in code as per your need.
   2. Based on various factors like size of the batch job, the time of day
when the job is being executed, the type of operations in the batch job
etc., the time to complete a batch job might vary. Please refer to the best
   practices

to ensure that you avoid any other issue when uploading your batch jobs.
We don't have any AdWords test API server where you could monitor the
   performance.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Re: How can I search the products?

2018-03-15 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Please find my response below:

   1. To achieve your goal, you will need to create a product partition
tree with the appropriate product dimensions. The guide on shopping
   campaigns

should be helpful for you. You could refer AddProductPartitionTree

in Java for the complete code sample to add a product partition tree. You
could divide your product based on your desired product dimension which are
   listed here

   .
   2. If you are facing an issue while adding the Shopping ad, please share
the SOAP request and response logs. If this is not the case could you
please elaborate what you mean by "I have to use the merchant's products
like the additional picture display, and use them by AdWords Api to create
   shopping Ads"?

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Can a Budget be removed via the API?

2018-03-15 Thread patrick

I'm attempting to set the status of a Budget to REMOVED. The budget is not
explicitly shared and the reference count is zero. However, when performing
the mutation via the BudgetService, the returned status is ENABLED. The
documentation contains conflicting information, with some pages explaining
how to set the status to REMOVED and others stating that the API ignores
the status attribute.

This page says status is ignored by the API:

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201710/CampaignService.Budget

These pages say to use mutate and set the status to REMOVED:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/objects-methods#operator

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/budgets

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

"Total" text overwrites metric total in performance report summaries

2018-03-15 Thread Tiana S.
Hi guys,

We're noticing some odd behavior fetching data from the AdWords Reporting
API.

When fetching data, the "Total" text returned seems to be overwriting the
actual total of the first requested field.
So take for example the following query:
SELECT VideoQuartile100Rate FROM VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE Impressions
> 0 DURING 20140101,20171231

When requesting that, the following data is returned:
Video played to 100%
24.28%
20.55%
Total

And when fetching two fields:
SELECT VideoQuartile100Rate,VideoQuartile25Rate FROM
VIDEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE Impressions > 0 DURING 20140101,20171231

We get the following:
Video played to 100%,Video played to 25%
24.28%,40.16%
20.55%,37.97%
Total,38.42%

After checking the interface, we confirmed the total returned is the total
for Video played to 25%:

So this indicates the "Total" text is actually overwriting the total for
Video played to 100%.

Just wondering if this is known and by design or a bug in the API.

Thanks!

Re: Script for headline that reads "specific text in {location of the searcher}"

2018-03-15 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You will be able to adapt your ads to the real-time context of your
potential customers—what they're searching for, where they're browsing,
what device they're using, and when they're looking at your ad by using Ad
customizers. Please refer the Help Center guide
 for how to setup
ad-customizers via the UI and the guide here

 to
setup via API in java. For other coding languages, please refer here
. Please
let me know if you have further questions for API. However, if you have
further questions for UI, I would suggest you to post your question on the
Advertiser
Community Forum

as
the product experts there will be better equipped to answer UI related
questions.

Re: Creating SharedSet on Campaign Level

2018-03-15 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jonathan,

The limit of 10,000 that you pointed out applies to negative keywords per
campaign. In addition to that you should also note that there is a limit
 of 1 million
campaign targeting items per account (such as location targets and
campaign-level negative keywords etc). This limit will consider the
positive and negative targeting criterion at the campaign level. That said,
the number of excluded placements per campaign will be counted in this
limit and is not unlimited. Since this is a system level limitation, there
might not be a means to bypass this.

My suggestion is to post your question on the advertisers community forum

so
see how you can structure your negative targeting criterion (keywords and
placements) at the campaign level. The product experts there might be able
to provide you some tips on optimization.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

AdWords test batch API takes too long

2018-03-15 Thread Lukas Lukac
I am running some performance tests for the new architecture I developed at
trivago for publishing AdWords Objects through the BatchJob API but the
polling of the BatchJobStatus takes ages.

I have 4 workers uploading each 8k operations and in each worker I am
getting the whole morning:

Sleeping for 320 seconds before the next BatchJob result poll attempt.
>
*Batch job 688192240 is currently in ACTIVE status. *

Sleeping for 640 seconds before the next BatchJob result poll attempt.

*Batch job 688192240 is currently in ACTIVE status.*
> Sleeping for 1280 seconds before the next BatchJob result poll attempt.

(the batch job ofc changes per each worker).

Why it's so slow? Is there any way I can monitor the AdWords test API
servers or something? Is it slow only because I am pushing to a Test
Account?

Thx

I have also tried the same code on a different machine with PHP v 7.2.3 on
Ubuntu 16.04 , but no success on that either.

I have tried using getting a client list using

 $adWordsServices = new AdWordsServices();

$session = (new AdWordsSessionBuilder())
->withOAuth2Credential($this->client)
->withClientCustomerId($clientId)
->withDeveloperToken($this->developer_token)
->build();

which is successfully working without any errors. To my surprise,
everything was working fine till i upgraded to v201802. I tested on v201710
and everything works, without upgrading any PHP version.

I appreciate you help. I look forward for your reply.

Thanks and Regards

Pete

Re: Reporting Crash with v201802

2018-03-15 Thread P Anand
Hi Vincent,

Thanks for the reply.

I have checked the apache logs and get nothing in them. The problem is there
are no errors and the response in browser console is 200, so there is no
indication of the error.

However, I created a new project with just googleads/googleads-php-lib
using composer. composer.json is as follows

"require": {
"php": ">=5.5.9",
"google/auth": "^1.0.0",
"googleads/googleads-php-lib": "^33.1.0"
}

I am running a test report with the same code as previously posted and now
I am getting the following error:

A PHP Error was encountered

Re: .Net API getting NOT_ADS_USER after upgrade to v201802

2018-03-15 Thread steve . john
Hi,

The login works when I use the v201710 client though. I only get this error
after upgrading to v201802.
I'll see if I can capture the request.

Thanks,

Steve.

Re: How can I search the products?

2018-03-15 Thread 18824261965
Hi,
Yes,I am trying to create shopping Ads using the API.
The shopping Ads created with the code sample is entire products of a
country,However I just need a part of the products which was got by some
condition, such as ‘Category’,'Brand','Item ID' and soon on.
So I have to use the merchant's products like the additional picture
display, and use them by AdWords Api to create shopping Ads.

Script for headline that reads "specific text in {location of the searcher}"

2018-03-15 Thread maliefraim5
Hi everyone,

We would like to put out ads to read specific text in the headline combined
with the location for the searcher. For example:

*Best Service Provider in {Cite, State}*

This is not something that can be done through dynamic search ads, as this
will require a separate campaign for each city targeted and a very specific
list of keywords.

Any ideas on how to build a script like this?

Thank you!

Re: Creating SharedSet on Campaign Level

2018-03-15 Thread jonathan . scholbach
Hi Sreelakshmi,

thank you very much for your quick answer, especially for linking to the
code sample!

My problem is, that there is also a limit on NegativeCampaignCriterion of
only 10k. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6372658?hl=en is
stating "10,000 negative keywords per campaign", I assume that this limit
holds also for negative placements. Am I right with this assumption, or
should the number of excluded placements per campaign be unlimited?
If I am right, is there any way to exclude more than 10k entities per
campaign while having more than 20 campaigns in the account?

Thank you ever so much for your help!
Jonathan

Re: Not generating keyword ideas for some keywords.

2018-03-15 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Mouhssine,

Since the issue is you cannot retrieve keyword ideas for the said keywords
in both AdWords UI and API, this would be a product level concern. I would
suggest to post this in the AdWords Community Forum

as
they are better equipped to assist you in this matter.

Re: .Net API getting NOT_ADS_USER after upgrade to v201802

2018-03-15 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Steve,

The AuthenticationError.NOT_ADS_USER

 error
you encountered means that the login you used to generate the access token
is not associated with any AdWords account. This being said, could you
provide the complete SOAP request and response that was generated when you
encountered the error and also the email address used for generating OAuth2
credentials? You may reply via the *Reply privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,
Luis
