Hi Charles,

Thanks for raising your concern.

The usual reason for encountering the UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR is due to
transient issue. But to take a closer to the issue, would mind providing the
complete SOAP request and response logs together with the requestId and the
customer ID via Reply privately to author option? Please check the README

logging.

Re: Internal server error while creating campaign

2019-06-20 Thread Priya
Hi Sai Teja,

Thanks for your feedback.

I used this campaign name for the request for which I received "internal
server error" as response. My assumption is that in this scenario , the
campaign should not have created as the api returned "internal server
error" exception.

However when I retry using the same campaign name in my subsequent attempt,
I received a duplicate campaign name error. Does this mean that the
campaign was created for my first api call even though the response
returned was an internal server error?

Priya

Unfortunately, there is so current solution to enroll the account for 2-step

in this link.

After enrolling, you may now continue to make API calls. If the issue still
persist, kindly let me know so I can further investigate.

RE: Ads API - BudgetOrderService / consolidating billing support?

Hi Joel,

Thank you reaching out. The equivalent field to BudgetOrderService in Google
Ads API is using AccountBudget, AccountBudgetProposal, BillingSetup and
PaymentAccount resource. Please refer to migration document for more
information. For your second concern, please refer to the guide, “To sign up
with an existing Payments account, set the payments_account to the resource ID
of a valid Payments account (payments_account_info should not be set).” You are
trying to set up PaymentsAccountInfo in your code sample, this is the reason a

Could you please try to set up PaymentsAccount instead and let me know if it
helps?

Average Position unavailable in plan forecast metrics

2019-06-20 Thread Galén
Dear Google Ads API team,

It appears that the Average Position is missing from the Ads API forecast
metrics

while it is available in the AdWords API traffic estimator metrics

.

Given the Average Position Is also available in the Keyword Planner GUI,
could you please also add it to the Ads API forecast metrics?

Best

Reporting Error: Error occurred during parsing: Enum field only accepts integer or enum value name. (Used to work previously)

2019-06-20 Thread Christoph Lanz
Hello,

I have a query to download information for Expanded Text Ads, which used to
work fine until two days ago. Since then, I get the following error,
telling me that "Enum field only accepts integer or enum value name".
I investigated the issue and found that for some ads I can download the
information without problem, and for others not - but I couldnt find a
common pattern.

Could you help me, to see if I need to update the query, or to pre-filter
some values that might cause the error?

Many thanks in advance!

Christoph

What's the best way to create ad entities in bulk while maintaining enough context to store the new id?

2019-06-20 Thread Bradley Fleming
We'd like to be able to create ads, adGroups and campaigns through the Ads
Api in bulk, but we need to store the id that's generated by said create on
a row in our DB that represents the entity in google. It looks like all
that's returned on create is list of "resource names". How do we add enough
context to these entities so that we can reliably re-associate them w/ the
record in our system?

BatchJobProcessingError.INTERNAL_ERROR

2019-06-20 Thread David Fernandez
Hi there,

Hopefully you can assist with an issue we are seeing in our Adwords updates.

We have started to encounter BatchJobProcessingError cancelations over the
last few days. I've tried reducing the batch size but it hasn't helped.

Two of the jobIds are:

1551334548
1555941249

We also had a InternalApiError.UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR error between
these two jobs, but I don't have a jobID for that one unfortunately.

In general, our updates work (not quickly - the process takes around 2.5
hours) but I'm raising this because the number of internal errors we hit,
seems to be increasing. So I just want to check if this a service issue, or
if something we have been doing for some time, is no longer
permitted/supported.

Regards,
David

Re: About impression share

2019-06-20 Thread Andy McKenna
Any update on getting this information from the API? We pull campaign data
daily with segmentation but we can't accurately roll it back up because of
SearchImpressionShare = "< 10%". If we had AvailableImpressions as a field
we could just calculate Impression Share ourself at any level of the data
that we have.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching support. If you use call reporting with your ad, a
Google forwarding number will be assigned to your ad. You'll see the Google
forwarding number only in your Smart campaign when it appears on either the
desktop or mobile versions of Google search. This forwarding number won't be
visible in your account.If your business uses caller ID, the phone number of
the caller will continue to be displayed as usual even if the call is routed
through your forwarding phone number. Additionally, to fetch details of calls
made to the Google forwarding number, you can use the Call Metrics Call Details
Report. Let us know if this helps.

RE: Budget and Bid limits

2019-06-20 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ankit,

Thank you for the clarifications. For your concern regarding the limits for
specified fields, you could set the same values via API that you are able to
set in UI, there will be no maximum limit through API. However, the minimum
limit for each of them is provided in the documentation for each field, say the
spendTarget field must be greater than or equal to 0 as mentioned in the link.
Let us know if you need additional information.

Ads API - BudgetOrderService / consolidating billing support?

2019-06-20 Thread joel
Hello, is the equivalent of BudgetOrderService supported in the Ads API?
I'm following the instructions at
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/billing/billing-setups but
it doesn't have any examples about how to use consolidated billing. I am
trying to move an Account's billing underneath an existing consolidated
billing Payment Account. However when I run the following code, a NEW
payment account is created instead of attaching it to the existing one.
Thanks!

Joel

PaymentsAccountInfo paiInfo = PaymentsAccountInfo.newBuilder()
.setPaymentsAccountId("existing-payment-account-id")
.setPaymentsAccountName(StringValue.of("existing-payment-account-name"))
.setPaymentsProfileId("existing-payment-account-name"))
.build();

BillingSetup bs = BillingSetup.newBuilder()
.setId("existing-billing-setup-id")
.setPaymentsAccountInfo(paiInfo)
.setStartTimeType(TimeType.NOW)
.build();

BillingSetupOperation customerOp = BillingSetupOperation.newBuilder()
.setCreate(bs)
.build();

try (BillingSetupServiceClient bsClient =
googleAdsClient.getLatestVersion().createBillingSetupServiceClient();
AccountBudgetProposalServiceClient abpClient =
googleAdsClient.getLatestVersion().createAccountBudgetProposalServiceClient()
)
{
MutateBillingSetupResponse mutateResponse =
bsClient.mutateBillingSetup("1234567890", customerOp);

AccountBudgetProposal proposal = AccountBudgetProposal.newBuilder()

.setBillingSetup(StringValue.of(mutateResponse.getResult().getResourceName()))
.setProposalType(AccountBudgetProposalType.CREATE)
.setProposedName(StringValue.of("Account Budget"))

.setProposedStartDateTime(StringValue.of(LocalDateTime.now().format(DateTimeFormatter.ofPattern("-MM-dd
 HH:mm:ss"
.setProposedEndTimeType(TimeType.FOREVER)
.setProposedSpendingLimitType(SpendingLimitType.INFINITE)
.build();

AccountBudgetProposalOperation abpOp =
AccountBudgetProposalOperation.newBuilder()
.setCreate(proposal)
.build();

MutateAccountBudgetProposalResponse abpResponse =

[Google Ads API] How to set Oauth credentials using java client lib (google-ads-java)

2019-06-20 Thread alok
Hi,

We are planing to use google-ads-java client library to migrate from Google
Adwords API to Google Ads API.

I have all the required values of client_id,client_secret,refresh token and
access token etc. Whats the best way to set Oauth credentials using java
client.
I have already gone though test examples which creates GoogleAdsClient from
properties file but this doesn't fit my requirement as we access different
MCCs in same platform.

what are the best way to create credentials object (please be specific to
the java class to be used) and use it with GoogleAdsClient.
GoogleAdsClient googleAdsClient =
GoogleAdsClient.newBuilder().setCredentials(theCredentials)

Thanks
Alok

Adwords Batch Jobs CANCELED or INTERNAL_ERROR

2019-06-20 Thread Richard Scorer
Yesterday we pushed a number of batch jobs, 10% of which failed for no
provided reason. Could someone please take a look and hopefully explain
what happened to our batch jobs so we can perhaps prevent these issues in
the future?

They are across a number of different accounts. We had 91 batch jobs
CANCELED with no error - examples are

Account: 1095363880, Batch: 1555479026
Account: 3732192484, Batch: 1555405878
Account: 6011282466, Batch: 1555832781

These accounts all seemed to be processing, and suddenly were CANCELED.
Definitely not by us.

Then we had 117 batch jobs failed due to "INTERNAL_ERROR".

Examples:
Account: 1289959727, Batch: 1555616228 - 77% complete, 32325 operations
executed, 32325 succeeded, 32325 written.
Account: 1167746827, Batch: 137352 - 16% complete, 56691 operations
executed, 549 succeeded, 56691 written.
Account: 4724505641, Batch: 1555633246 - 71% complete, 47421 operations
executed, 47421 succeeded, 47426 written. <-- this one wrote more than
operations provided.
Account: 5936322484, Batch: 1556502467 - 0% complete, 20 operations
executed, 20 succeeded, 20 written.
Account: 8635488849, Batch: 1556365425 - 99% complete, 99075 operations
executed, 94935 succeeded, 99075 written.

Thanks,
Richard

Re: [Google Ads API] Shopping Product Ad Headline Differences

2019-06-20 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Kevin,

My apologies for the delay. Upon discussing with the rest of our team, it
appears that the field you specified is intended for a text ad, not really for
a shopping product ad, so it's expected that nothing is returned. Shopping
product ads, by its nature, probably doesn't contain any headline fields that
the user in the UI can modify by themselves directly.

The Headline field in the AdWords API is probably populated automatically
somehow but that part would be the same for all shopping product ads. With
that, it would appear that the Google Ads API does not support returning the
fixed headline anymore.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Hi Thomas,

We currently do not have code examples for what you require. However, you can
still refer to the old guide as the process of creating the feeds and feedItems
should still be similar. The naming of the involved services also remains the
same such as the FeedService, FeedItemService, and FeedMappingService.

Should you have additional clarifications, feel free to write back and I'll be

Telephone number used too often?

2019-06-20 Thread Markus Heiden
We are using a test account for each of our customers for providing them an
additional "playground" system.
For that purposes we use a cell phone number to create these test accounts.
Recently I always get an error "telephone number used too often" when using
the cell phone number when creating test accounts.
Is there a way around this error or do I have to really use another number?

Re: Extreme AverageCpc or Cost values when downloading Shopping Performance Report for the last 30 days

2019-06-20 Thread marvel tales
The issue is soved. Cost is in micro currency units therefore we need to
divide it by 100.

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting

"Money fields in reports
Fields of type Money are returned in micro currency units (micros) but may
be prefixed with "auto: " or may simply be the string "auto" if automatic
bidding is used. For example, $1.23 will come back as 123 (1.23 x
1,000,000). Micro amounts always refer to the account's local currency.

When filtering on money fields, you'll have to provide the value in micros.
For example, WHERE AverageCpc > 100 will return rows where the
AverageCpc is greater than $1 (one unit of the account currency)."

RE: Can I create custom reports from the Google Ads/Adwords API? Or is it really limited to only working off from the available reports?

2019-06-20 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Custom reports are currently not supported in both the AdWords and Google Ads
APIs. In the AdWords API, you may only generate reports per report type as
listed here. The same applies to the Google Ads API wherein you may only query
per view based on this documentation (see API Fields).

You may note that while the said reports may contain information on different
levels or entities, the statistics are aggregated only to the specific level or
entity in which the report type / view specializes in. I hope this helps.

Google Ads API V1.0 - Occasional grpc INTERNAL error

2019-06-20 Thread Edgar de Sá Alves
Hi Google Ads Team,

I'm currently working in the migration from the Adwords API to the new
Google Ads API and I'm facing some issues.
Occasionally I'm getting the following error from exactly the same API
request that previously worked. The stack trace is vague and I couldn't
find the reason for these occasional failures. Could it be a bug in the API?

Re: Query Execution Logs

2019-06-20 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Mickey,

Thank you for the clarification.

There is currently no service in AdWords API that you can use to retrieve the
data/logs in the change history tab directly. As a workaround, to retrieve the
changed entities for a customer account or campaign based on the given date
range, you can use the CustomerSyncService.get method. However, please note
that it is not detailed as the Change History. It will only return the entity
IDs and the latest status of it.

Let me know if you have further questions

Ejay

Can I create custom reports from the Google Ads/Adwords API? Or is it really limited to only working off from the available reports?

2019-06-20 Thread Linx Com
I am new to using the Google Ads/Adwords API. I am trying to make some
custom reports via the API, but I am experiencing some difficultly. For
example, I want to query the campaigns, ads (not ad-group), and keyword
along with cost, impressions, clicks, and conversions. However, I am unable
to do this, even though I can do it on the Google Ads UI. Does the API not
let me or some reason? What are the restrictions?

Extreme AverageCpc or Cost values when downloading Shopping Performance Report for the last 30 days

2019-06-20 Thread marvel tales
Hi,

I would like to download Shopping Performance Report for the last 30 days
in order to have metrics at product level.
I am receiving extreme values as AverageCPC and Cost from the Shopping
Performance Report.

This is the query I use:
'SELECT
AccountDescriptiveName,CampaignId,CampaignName,AdGroupName,AdGroupId,'

'OfferId,Impressions,Clicks,AverageCpc,Cost,Ctr,AllConversions,ConversionValue,'
  'CategoryL1,CategoryL2,CategoryL3,CategoryL4,CategoryL5,'
'CrossDeviceConversions,'
'SearchImpressionShare,'
'SearchClickShare,'
'CustomAttribute1,'
'CustomAttribute2,'
'Brand,CampaignStatus,AdGroupStatus '
'FROM   SHOPPING_PERFORMANCE_REPORT '
'WHERE CampaignStatus = "ENABLED" AND AdGroupStatus =
"ENABLED" '
'DURING LAST_30_DAYS '

An example from the downloaded data
ClicksAvg_CPC   Cost

2
567
1134

Where am I doing wrong?

I would appreciate if someone can help me.

Thanks.
Kind regards.

Expanded Text Ads - Is it possible to update Custom Parameters or Final Urls with the new Ads API V1?

2019-06-20 Thread Christoph Lanz
Hello,

I would like to be able to update the final urls and also custom parameters
of an existing expanded text ad.
In the example below, when I try just to update the ad status it works
good, but when I try to update also final urls (or custom parameters) i get
the error of "IMMUTABLE FIELD".
Is it possible to update this information with the current ADS API V1?

Many thanks in advance!

Christoph

*Example Code (fragment)*
$ad = new Ad
([
'final_urls' => [new StringValue(['value' => 'http://www.example2.com'])],
]);
$adGroupAd = new AdGroupAd
([
'resource_name' => ResourceNames::forAdGroupAd($customerId, $adGroupId,
$adId),
'status' => AdGroupAdStatus::ENABLED,
'ad' => $ad,
]);

*Example error (fragment)*
ERROR:  { "fieldName": "final_urls" } ] } }, { "errorCode": {
"requestError": "IMMUTABLE_FIELD" }

Re: Unable to query user_list.name from AUDIENCE_PERFORMANCE_REPORT (campaign_audience_view)

2019-06-20 Thread Rahul Kumar
Hello Sai,

Thanks for the information. So as I understand, the mappings mentioned in
the Google Ads migration docs doesn't guarantee that it will be fetchable
from the given resource ( campaign_audience_view or ad_group_audience_view
in my case).
However, this creates a problem for us while migrating ( And I am sure it
will be a problem for many others also) because earlier we used to have
the fields and the resource name stored in the database and our script
would automatically call the API to get the data from the report. This was
possible because all the fields in a given report could be fetched using a
single API call to the respective report or service (E.g
AUDIENCE_PERFORMANCE_REPORT OR CampaignService). Now there is no way to
generate a query using a script because the fields are scattered across
different resources.

So this is a request from my side to kindly look into this and if possible
suggest a way or add a feature request which allows us to migrate the older
reports without breaking existing functionality.

Thanks,
Rahul

Thanks,
Rahul
