Hi Faizan,

Could you confirm which exact step in this guide you are encountering an issue
with? You can refer to this sample code (also available in other languages) on
how to create your conversion tracker.

Additionally, I would like to note that the eligibility requirements for using
the TargetRoasBiddingScheme would not be met when using test accounts as one of
its conditions is that your Search or Display campaigns should already have at
least 15 conversions in the past 30 days.

Thank you for reaching out.

The error OAUTH_TOKEN_INVALID is encountered when the OAuth access token in the

Hi,

Thank you for posting your concern.

The Conversions field of Campaign Location Target Report should not return
negative values. Because of this, I tried to impersonate the report on my end
my using the fields and the report type that you provided. However, I wasn't
able to replicate the issue as the report did not return any negative values

Moving forward, it appears that you are using the SET operator when creating

Hi Sam,

You can go with the 500 campaign-specific report requests as it would be a much
better way to avoid timeouts while also being way below the daily limit for the
report downloads.

However, in the event that you would require to generate more reports that
would exceed the daily limit, you may opt to upgrade to standard access instead.

The ApprovalStatus field is only applicable at the BiddableAdGroupCriterion

As for the labels, could you confirm if you have indeed applied Labels, using

The results from the TrafficEstimatorService currently does not include

Re: FeedMapping service can't be queried with PlaceholderType and CriterionType in WHERE clause at the same time, but AdWords API can.

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

In the Google Ads API, the placeholder_type and criterion_type fields are union
fields.

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/google.ads.googleads.v2.resources#google.ads.googleads.v2.resources.FeedMapping

Therefore, a given instance of feed_mapping will have either placeholder_type
or criterion_type, but not both. Therefore, the criteria of:

feed_mapping.criterion_type != 'DSA_PAGE_FEED' AND
feed_mapping.placeholder_type = 'AD_CUSTOMIZER'

will never be satisfied by an instance of feed_mapping. If instead you remove
the first condition, you should only get back feed_mapping objects with
placeholder_type = 'AD_CUSTOMIZER'.

RE: Excluding ContentLabelType::GAMES and ContentLabelType::UNKNOWN failing

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ales, others,

Sorry for the delay. This change is indeed related to the Help Center article
you mentioned. Excluding games via ContentLabelType=GAMES was recently
deprecated across the Google Ads product, including in the APIs.

If you are still interested in opting out of games, please consider using the
"Games" topic instead, which is available for all campaign types that were
previously covered by the GAMES content label exclusion, covers the same
inventory, and provides additional coverage for web games content. To exclude
that topic using the AdWords API, add a negative Vertical criterion with
verticalId = 8, either at the campaign or ad group level. For more specific
game exclusions, use the verticalIds of other game-related topics .

Re: Image Ad

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello Dima,

You will be able to upload the image assets using the MediaFileService. The PHP
code sample to upload image assets can be found here. The upload image asset
resource name can then be added to the Responsive Display Ad. The code snippet
in Java should be helpful to get started.

ResponsiveDisplayAdInfo responsiveAdIndo = ResponsiveDisplayAdInfo.newBuilder()

.setLongHeadline(AdTextAsset.newBuilder().setText(StringValue.of(String.format("Гостиницы
 Москвы", i))).build())
.addAllDescriptions(ImmutableList.of(AdTextAsset.newBuilder().setText(StringValue.of("Buy
 your tickets now!")).build()))
.addAllMarketingImages(ImmutableList.of(AdImageAsset.newBuilder().setAsset(StringValue.of("customers/3246533697/assets/4269079352")).build()))
.setMainColor(StringValue.of("Black"))
.setBusinessName(StringValue.of("TemporalBotique"))
.build();

Could you please give this a try and let us know if you have any issues?

In Market and Affinity Audiences Question

2019-07-02 Thread Jamie
I'm trying to get information using the Ads API on what in-market, detailed
demographics, and affinity audiences are applied to my campaigns and ad
groups.

Using the CampaignCriterion and AdGroupCriterion resources, I have obtained
the Criterion IDs for these interests, however, I can't find what interests
these actually correspond to. The UserInterest and CustomInterest resources
do not seem to be helping? For example, the user interests IDs go up to
9 or so (which allows me to see the interest themselves), but my
Criterion ID is "295548274934."

Can you help with where I should be looking?

Handling Deadline Exceeded Errors for very large accounts

2019-07-02 Thread Sam

Hi there,

Thanks for all the work on the new API, it seems like in time it will be
much more robust than the AdWords API.

I have an issue with regards to the DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error.

We have instances of customer accounts which are extremely large, and so I
am unable even pull all enabled ad group IDs in a single query without
receiving the DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error, for an account with 500 campaigns.

It seems like I have a few options here:

1) We could instead run 500 campaign-specific queries and combine the
responses. We'd rather not do this due to the increased risk of hitting
rate limits.

2) We could write code to dynamically split the AWQL queries by a
"campaign.id IN (id1, id2, id3...)" predicate, splitting the campaigns into
2 groups, and if either of those requests fail, continuing to split and
combine. My concern here is the effort and the complexity of dynamic
adjustment of AWQL query strings.

I suppose my question is - what is the recommendation with regards to the
optimal way to approach this problem?

Also - is this a known issue (and so perhaps resolved in a future API
update) or is this behaviour intentional and unlikely to change?

Thanks for your help.

Sam

Re: How to move account with Google Ads API

2019-07-02 Thread Jason f
Hello Dannison,

I was able to retrieve the manager_link_id with the GAQL query you provided.
But I think the solution to unlink client account from our master MCC and
then create link between it and sub MCC may not work.
Because after we unlinked the client account, we will not able to manager
our client account via the master MCC, which means when we sent the link
request from sub MCC, we won't be able to accept the request via the API.
Do you have any other solution to move the client account to sub MCC with
the google Ads API ?

Thank you!

Regards,

Wei

You will need to pass the Google Ads Query to the GoogleAdsService.Search
interface. Please find the example available here which will help you get
started. The code samples are also available in the guide as a reference. Let

Re: Unable to accept new ToS for Google Ads API Access

2019-07-02 Thread Gurpreet AML
Sai,

As an alternative solution, would it be possible to transfer our existing
dev token to the new manager account. That would save us from the hassle of
creating a new dev token for the same legal entity and will also allow us
to accept the new ToS.

Thanks

Transient OAUTH_TOKEN_INVALID error

2019-07-02 Thread 'Jerry Uejio' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
I'm getting an OAUTH_TOKEN_INVALID about halfway into a job that posts to
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/rm/v201809/AdwordsUserListService

I'm posting 10k users at a time, and get the error around the 500th call.
It always fails somewhere in the middle of the job, so at first I thought
it was an issue with the refresh token, but resetting it didn't help.

Example message with requestID: {'operations': '1', 'serviceName':
'AdwordsUserListService', 'methodName': 'mutateMembers', 'requestId':
'00058ca60fab53790a81cf04aa0fd5bd', 'responseTime': '81', 'faultMessage':
"[AuthenticationError.OAUTH_TOKEN_INVALID @ ; trigger:'']"}"

I'm using the Google Ads Python SDK

Has anyone else run into this?

How to add a keyword to negative keyword list using Google Ads API using SDK?

2019-07-02 Thread Oleksandr Chekanskyi

Hello Google Ads API team,

Currently, we are using Google Ads SDK with java
(https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-java) for interaction with the
platform. Could you give me a hint on how to add a keyword to the account
negative keyword list using it?

Thank you

aboue keyword perfomance report

2019-07-02 Thread YUNZE ZHANG

Hi, I'm an engineer working in Septeni・Original, JP.
I have a question about keyword performance report and I hope you could
answer it please.

I got the keyword performance report from the google adwords API with the
filter "where("IsNegative").equalTo("true")", and I got the data with blank
values in column "Approval Status","Label IDs","Labels".
 (the data period is one year) I think it should not be accidental, so I
tried two years but I got the same result.
I read the document, bu tI didn't get the message I wanted in the document.
So I want to ask that when isNegative="true", could I be sure I'm going to
get blank value of these columns?

Thank you very much.

Zhang

Re: Issue setting bid strategy through API differs from UI

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hello,

It appears my response may have gotten lost. I've reproduced it below:

>From the code you shared:

campaign.manual_cpc.enhanced_cpc_enabled.value = False
campaign.campaign_budget.value =
campaign_budget_response.results[0].resource_name
campaign.bidding_strategy_type =
client.get_type('BiddingStrategyTypeEnum',
version='v1').MANUAL_CPM

You are using "campaign.manual_cpc", which is why the campaign is being created
as MANUAL_CPC. You should instead use campaign.manual_cpm. Looking through the
campaign.proto file, you can see that these two fields are part of the same
"oneof" definition, which means that these fields are mutually exclusive.

Additionally, I think the bidding strategy type is determined by the campaign
bidding strategy, so whatever you sent to the server is ignored and rather the
one that is specified by the campaign_bidding_strategy oneof is used instead.
Please try fixing the first line in the snippet above to use manual_cpm as
intended and let me know how that goes.

Mike, Google Ads API Team

Hi Faizan,

You can try and implement conversion tracking using your test accounts. Once
you have setup your conversion trackers, you could then try setting up the
TargetRoas bidding scheme for your campaign. Let me know if this helps.

Re: How to change change bidding strategy from Manual CPC to Target ROAS via Adword API

2019-07-02 Thread Faizan Zulfiqar
Hello Peter

your code really helped me.
But I can not go live without testing this code.
I need to meet the eligibility requirement of target roas on test accounts.
Please say you have the method.

Thank you

RE: Image Ad

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Dima,

Before proceeding, could you confirm if you are using the AdWords API or the
Google Ads API? Also, could you confirm if my understanding is correct that
what you wish to create are Responsive Ads for Display?

Thanks and regards,
Peter

RE: How to change change bidding strategy from Manual CPC to Target ROAS via Adword API

2019-07-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Faizan,

I'm afraid we currently have no exact sample code of what you are looking for.
Moving forward, in order to change the bidding strategy of your campaign to
TargetRoasBiddingScheme, you can follow this AddCampaigns example (also
available in other languages), except you would need to use the SET operator
instead of the ADD one. You should also only pass the campaign fields you wish
to modify.

In your code, you can add something similar to the Java code below :

BiddingStrategyConfiguration biddingStrategyConfiguration = new
BiddingStrategyConfiguration();
biddingStrategyConfiguration.setBiddingStrategyType(BiddingStrategyType.TARGET_ROAS);

TargetRoasBiddingScheme targetRoasBiddingScheme = new TargetRoasBiddingScheme();
targetRoasBiddingScheme.setTargetRoas((double)50); // this is required
biddingStrategyConfiguration.setBiddingScheme(targetRoasBiddingScheme);
campaign.setBiddingStrategyConfiguration(biddingStrategyConfiguration);

As for using this bidding scheme in test accounts, I'm afraid that this is not
possible due to the eligibility requirements.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
