I have some old sites (up to 15 years) with APC Smart-UPS XL series (mostly
SU1400RMXL) and one with a Tripp-Lite SU750XL and have not seen this. The
closest I have seen is APC units that won't start back up on commercial
power after the
All UPS are controlled by a microprocessor, so it's a rare design decision
to put a rocker switch. If a UPS turns off, that's a definite problem with
the microprocessor or hardware, that requires replacement.
