Are you sure it's the switch that's the problem? I have some old sites (up to 15 years) with APC Smart-UPS XL series (mostly SU1400RMXL) and one with a Tripp-Lite SU750XL and have not seen this. The closest I have seen is APC units that won't start back up on commercial power after the
