Depending on where you're at, 10G isn't much more than 1G.
Usually anything gig or less is using MPLS or CE. 10G is using waves. The
former is more work than the latter.
Anything through the telco will be breaking it off in your backside.

Right. Almost anything will be over fiber. MPLS is agnostic as to what's
underneath ie: Ethernet, DS3, ATM, frame relay, WiFi, etc. It just delivers
whatever it's supposed to deliver.
