Does anyone know if the KPP dual slant omni is an Alpha AW3089 or a
knockoff? And has anyone used either of them?
My experience with 5 GHz dual pol omnis has been disappointing, I'm
wondering if these bigger, more expensive omnis deliver better performance.

I could probably fit a fuse on the GigE-POE-APC.
Yes, thinking of attempting to protect both forward and return.
Not sure if I should actually provide a fuse or just a jumper that shorts out
the fuse holder.
If they ship with a fuse, what size?

Contact Cambium Support and see if they can get you a CNUT package for 13.2.1.3
which is the first FW that supports the Lite APs.

We have an Alpha dual-slant omni on 2.4 GHz, and we're getting -62 dBm at ~~ 2
miles, with SNR 36 dBm. Will soon see if we can stretch that to 2.75

Yeah, we’re only using them for a radius of less than 1 mile, and usually with
a CPE right at the repeater site, so the smaller antenna with more downtilt
seemed appropriate. I question whether that’s really a 10 dBi antenna though,
the range has been disappointing.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I’m not putting sectors at a legacy repeater site in a
tiny town with 6 subs which of course are in all different directions. The
site is currently 2.4 FSK and an omni with 7 degrees downtilt, but the 2.4

With DFS, omni’s are great at reduced distance shots in high-density,
high-vegetation environments.

Are you expecting them to replace a lightning damaged radio under warranty?
Do an out-of-warranty repair?
An $80 radio is like a goldfish, you flush it. Unless it's a DOA that
should be replaced for free.
I was more thinking that you were having trouble finding a new one in stock

We have the Alpha AW3089 in use right now.
The most obvious difference with KPP is the electrical downtilt of 2
degrees, vs 4 degrees on the Alpha. In theory you'd get more distance
out of the KP, but the Alpha might be more deaf to distant noise.
The KPP spec sheet showed deeper nulls than
As others have said: Use a syncpipe deluxe, or a syncbox 12. They both
will provide sync both to the syncinjector and to either 2 or 12 timing
port radios.
Alternatively, you can build a cable which connects pins 1 and 2 on the
sync expansion port on the injector to pins 1 and 6 on the PTP450.
Nope. They are much more complex than antennas that make use of radials.

I haven't used the 10dbi, but the 13dbi has been working reasonably well
for us. Awhile back I tested one by rotating it while I watched the signal
level on a CPE, if I remember right, the difference was something like
4-5db between the best and worst points.
