Did this some years ago, and now I need to do it again—use existing phone
cabling for Ethernet cabling.
100Mbps OK for this application.
I have seen a couple of solutions but they seem terribly expensive, at lease a
lot more expensive than I remember.

The only cheaper option is probably back-to-back SDSL modems from eBay of
the like, which will he slower.

I suppose there are some perks to having a son that runs a WISP.
