Re: [AFMUG] DC breaker panel or fuse for two feeds.
Just use a 1 u GMT fused distribution panel. A company like TRIMM has lots of options. If you other is not fused, the risk is that it could trip the breaker, hence, no power to your new one. GMT eliminates this issue. Internet. Phone. TV. Re: [AFMUG] DC breaker panel or fuse for two feeds.
Chuck I use 1U GMT fused distribution panels already. Looking for a simple busbar that I can plug a couple breakers into. Ken, That is nice but way overkill. I'll likely just daisy chain the input lug of a few breakers but it seems like there should be a simple chassis you could plug the bullet style breakers into. I have a site with a Newmar DST-20, they also make a DST-10, I bought it several years ago from Tessco. I actually use it for a battery string consisting of a whole bunch of front terminal telecom batteries, but it’s really intended as a DC distribution panel. It’s quite nice, that said, it’s probably overkill for your application. Re: [AFMUG] DC breaker panel or fuse for two feeds.
There are lots of 1U power distribution panels avail. With fuses or CBS. My eltek has 4 breaker positions. Yes I would certainly want a breaker on that second line.
