Can I use goldwave to record sound coming into my computer? Or sound playing
over my computer speaker? If so, how do I do that? I couldn't find it in the
goldwave manual.
Thanks John Riehl

Hi. I have a bunch of cassettes I want to turn into mp3 files on my
computer. Has anyone got any suggestions re the best hardware to use - i.e.,
i.e., type of cable, etc?
I have a good cassette recorder and desktop.
Also, what would be the best and most accessible program to use to do this?
The Blue Yeti USB mic is great. It's a USB desk stand microphone.

Hi. I don't have a mic recommendation, but a "powered mic" is one that requires
an external power source, not the computer -- such as an amplifier-- for its
power.

I got Anyburn and it's wonderful for creating CD compilations. Very simple
and straightforward. The only drawback so far is that, when you're burning a
CD form mp3/mp4 files, three buttons aren't labeled. They're to the right of
the Add button. Does anyone know what those buttons are?
Thanks.
Hi. a couple of computers ago I had Nero CD Burning rom version 8;
unfortunately it got lost and isn't on my latest computer.
Does anybody have any good recommendations for a program I can use to burn
Cd's and also make my own cd compilation form my own music?
Or is Nero still the best program?
Goldwave handles these conversions very simply. Just open the file with
Goldwave and save it using Save as and the Mp3 format

Hi. I have a bunch of video files (that contain audio) that I want to edit
in gold wave. Unfortunately, Gold Wave does not recognize this file type
when I try to open the files. Does anybody have any suggestions re how I can
convert these files to another file format so I can open and edit with
My understanding is tha tyou can't do any trimming or editing of an mp3 file.
So you need to convert it to a .wav file then do your trimming then convert it
to an mp3 file.

Hi. Here's what I'm unsuccessfully trying to do:
I've extracted audio frrm a larger file and used the control-P command to
put that audio segment into a separate window. I move to that window and go
to the end of the audio segment, where I want to add some more audio. I then
go back to the larger
Hi. I want to play downloaded recordings of audio and video and extract and
save portions of the files, preserving both the sound and the picture.
What's the best tool/tools to do this?
Thanks. John

Hi. I'm using Gold wave v6.41 and JAWS 2020. I have lengthy MP3 files of
lectures I'm trying to edit. I'm able to set beginning and end markers with
the [ and ] keys and then delete portions I want to delete. However, when I
press the right and left arrows to move through the cuts, I skip ahead or
