Hi Brian,

Sorry, should have mentioned that. It does sound more or less
reasonable given that it costs $40 USD. I am using it for speech only, both
dragon and phone/SIP. For those uses, the important thing is range, not sound
quality, and, though this is obviously preliminary because I've only been using
it a few days, it seems to work for those things which I want it for. It is not
remotely acceptable for music, I think, but my judgment of audio quality is
poor. Having said that, the reviews seem to agree with me about the fairly low
quality for music.

Thanks very much for both your suggestions. I'm after a specific
product recommendation, not so much a store, I can, of course, contact any
number of stores, but what I want is someone who doesn't care if I buy
something or not. Sadly, sales people are in sales, which is why I ask here.
I'm also after something that doesn't require sight to use, specifically, no
inaccessible touch screen, pairing process, if necessary, to be accessible,
and so on.
As for Sennheiser, I've heard of the company but I am seeing allot of
headsets. Is there something which is not a headset and which will simply
transmit to a receiver from a microphone which is clipped on?
Thanks,
Aman

product recommendation, not so much a store, I can, of course, contact any
number of stores, but what I want is someone who doesn't care if I buy
something or not.
Thanks,
Aman

Where are you? If in the US though I'm not sure they'd have that kinda thing
I'd say call Sweet Water. Or American Musical Supply.

Aman,
I'll find the model of the mic I own from Scenheiser myself later today, and
pass it on to you. It works exactly as you ask, and has no delay.

Re: [all-audio] long-range wireless microphone

2018-10-17 Thread Dane Trethowan
CCrane - like many small businesses - have a reputation to uphold in more ways
than one so - if I were after a Wireless microphone solution - they would be my
first port of call.
I've bought many radio sets from them in the past and when I've had problems
CCrane have always worked with me to find a solution - shipping a product back
to CCrane from Australia is not always a clever nor a cheap option . -
I'm actually going to contact CCrane on a quote for a Wi-Fi antenna system here.
I already have one of their wide-band scanner antennas which is absolutely
superb and I have the CCrane AM Twin Coil external antenna which can be used
with any AM radio, another great product.

Yeah I get what you mean. I was just saying cause people at pro music stores
maybe better able to help than at least I would. I get what you mean about
sales people though. Sometimes they try to cell you stuff or trash the cheeper
choice so you'll spend more. It's not always true though. you get your honest 1

Hi there!
Have you thought about contacting Crane about this? They’ve moved into this
field now - makes common sense I guess given they’re into radios and antenna -
thus they may be able to advise you on what might be best for your particular
needs and situation.
