This issue is older than the hills. Although not an early poster, this coming Saturday will be my 4-year anniversary posting to this issue #. Back in my almost 4-year-old post I wrote that I didn't think it was a bug per se, but a poor design decision. Someone chose to _not_ show the visible version of the space characters at the end of lines, or to allow the cursor to be shown anywhere but smack up against the last printable character on the line. A possible related issue is the decision to show the background of selected text as a simple rectangle, rather than show the outline of the selected characters (as the Big Boys do: MS Word and Word Perfect). Yet another related issue is the behavior of centered text when you add spaces to either end of that text, which is related to the behavior mclay observed. It's all deeply intertwingled. I do not know the skill level of individuals on the team, but could it be that the person assigned this bug feels overwhelmed by the complex interdependencies? Or maybe this issue touches so many bits of code that fixing it is a moving target, and the person assigned to this feels overwhelmed for that reason. Microsoft... I was under the impression they all worked for Sun Microsystems. I mean, Microsoft has a real word processor and therefore an ex-MS programmer should know how to design a word processor without having to reinvent the whole UI. The OO team seems like they just made up a pile of stuff and threw it into the UI. I'm an ex chip designer, and spoiled by the hardware paradigm I'm crap as a programmer (although I've had a touch of ANSI C in my day). Form contains two similar subforms, one of it working trouble-free, other giving error when leaving an entry. Jumping out of the subform, the entry is accepted, though. It seems the trouble started after I experimented with making relations between tables. Deleting relations didn't make the problem disappear. Copying table contents to a new table didn't help. Recreating the subform from scratch doesn't help. After reading an article on similar behaviour, tried to revert to v3.1. Now all OO appications got stuck (error messages about wrong JRE version). Finally reinstalled v3.2.1. OO applications seem to function like before, but error remains. Exporting to PDF appears to maintain the page format. However this is a workaround to the issue, not a fix. I am already exporting to Excel and re-establishing the page format again to print from that program instead. Yes, I am in an office that has multiple printers with 11x17 paper format which we print to many times during the day for spreadsheets, PDF and AutoCAD drawings mostly. OpenOffice just started having this issue with the release of 3.2.1. I do not have the issue with any of the other programs. Tabloid can not be learned as that paper size is already in use by 11x17. No. I set the paper size in Page Style since I have some tabs that will print 8.5x11 Portrait and some that will print 11x17 Landscape. Just to try your suggestion I attempted to set the printing properties to 11x17 Landscape and it printed 8.5x11 Landscape. Although I have already tried this before. No, Use printer metrics for text formatting does not fix the issue. It does teem to adjust the text a little though. If you get a chance could you verify the issue please. A) Export a spreadsheet with Tabloid page size to .xls and observe if the page size disappears. You can use Excel or free Excel Viewer to check it. B) Attempt to print to Tabloid page size directly from OpenOffice. This missing aspect of navigation should not be considered trivial and should be made optional via any dialog box accessing numbering functionality for any type of Writer content. Current relevant dialog windows should comprise of radio buttons allowing Users to choose either to leave, as default, the current position of the insertion bar once jumping to a referenced numbered item (i.e.: Insertion bar Default: Right of numbering) or, to position in front of numbered item (i.e.: Insertion bar Option 1: Left of numbering) or, to position at left margin of page on same line as numbered item (i.e.: Insertion bar Option 2: Left margin). Most notably, with respect to this bug,, add/removeDataListener will be called add/removeGridDataListener, to make the listeners accessible to generic inspection. Also, both the column and the data model are derived from XComponent and XCloneable now. The column model also derives from XContainer, to be able to broadcast changes made to its contained columns. Some more changes already happened in the CWS, some more are planned.
