Hi,
I'm sorry, but I'm not at all sure who developed kaconnect. I like
this little app quite a bit, however, it won't allow one thing I'd
certainly like - to be able to hook a MIDI input to its corresponding
MIDI output. Why doesn't this work?
I can hook MidiSport 2x2 In A to Out B, but not
Hi all,
Here's the problem I have (or I've been having for a long time now).
I've successfuly installed the alsa's driver and the sound works ok. But,
every time I open Kmix (since I am using KDE as my primary desktop) I can
adjust all the levels, but the only available audio inputs are Main, L

Here's some more info of what I mean:

The following has been submitted as a note for the documentation of hdsp.
johannes.taelman(a)rug.ac.be
In order to make alsa-hdsp recognize the hdsp I had to downgrade
the firmware of the card(bus) to revision 10. There is a flash update

The Windows USB audio driver (tries to) handle all devices marked as
standard compatible. If a device offers capabilities which are implemented

I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be so kind
as to forward this to the alsa-devel list?
I've tried to mail it there myself without
success; for details about that see

I would recommend looking into setting up a mixer function to enable/disable
the playback SRC, the DAC, and the /Audio bit. This way you can use

Hallo,
before I go on, I must say: I decided to send the UA-20 back to my
dealer and probably buy a Quattro instead. This seems to be the more
flexible device with the only drawback, that it's not USB-powered and
more expensive. I'm getting a bit tired from being Edirol's laboratory
animal. Why di
The sound stutters like crazy (but not xrun messages) when doing ac3
passthru over the spdif, if I decode the ac3 stream to 6 channels and use
envy24control to mix those to the spdif out there is no stutter (but also
no proper surround sound). Am I doing something wrong?

Hello!
Here's a new batch of Debian patches, all from David B. Harris.
- add a "Press Escape to quit" string to alsamixer's title, some uses
couldn't figure out how to exit the program (Debian Bug#178393).
- hide the cursor, which was missplaced and wasn't goodlooking anyway

So PCM works. :-)

OSS doesn't support 24-bit
Cleanup the alsa-lib rpm spec:
* Use standard rpm macros for build & install
* Split package into alsa-lib and alsa-lib-devel (this is standard and
makes offical packages play nice with 3rd party alsa-lib packages
like those provided by gstreamer)
* Correct which files are installed (so that p

I was stupid here: my laptop didn't crash, only my USB-mouse was
killed.

Here's a trivial patch against cvs that converts envy24control to use
gtk2, it doesn't fix any of the gui problems so envy24control is still
fundamentally broken with regards to translation, theme & font handling.
I'm tempted to write a proper gnome 2.0 version (with tray icon goodness)
if there

This adds support for the UA-20's PCM interfaces in "Advanced Driver"
mode. The device has all standard descriptors, so the normal descriptor
parsing code can be used, but the interface class is set to "vendor
specific".
The entry in usbquirks.h is there so that the driver is loaded for the
