I'm still trying to get ALSA working with the onboard sound on
my ASUS A7V8X-X MB. The lspci command shows the audio controller as
being a VT8233 AC97 Audio Controller. I'm using RedHat9 but with kernel
2.4.21-rc5. I am also using ALSA 0.9.4. The driver builds OK and the
