I see this is a pretty old thread, but I was wondering if any of you have
gotten this working. I just stumbled upon two of these, and would love to be
able to use them.
I have never written any drivers, but would love to learn/help/pick up where
it was left off.

I would like to implement OSS emulation input multiplexing on CentOS4.3
with an Ensoniq AudioPCI ENS1371.
It seems there is a default /etc/alsa/alsa.conf file that already has
stuff in it like dsnoop that would indicate that maybe this is even
already implemented. But I tried running two OSS
. You have the correct output plugin selected 2. No other program
is blocking the soundcard 3. Your soundcard is configured properly.
Has anyone else ever run into this? I thought OSS was layered over
ALSA, but perhaps I've misunderstood.

I have a PCI Hammerfall HD9632 which works fine under Windows XP. I'm
trying not to run Windows XP any more :) I'm having a few problems
getting this up and running under SuSE 9.0. I do also have a

as a supported card nor is it
mentioned in the INSTALL file. So what do I do to get this funky card
and especially the SPDIF output to work?
I know Mandrake 8.2 with the old 0.5.x ALSA just treated it as an intel
810 sound system. That worked fine, but probably wouldn't help me use SPDIF.

I have got my Sound Blaster Live! card correctly installed and running with
ALSA, and everything works fine, all applications play sound correctly, until
I reboot Linux at which point not all applications play sound correctly. Most
do, but some applications (I think they all use /dev/raw)
