Is there something extra needed to enable the synthesizer on the sound card (ESS Solo1, using snd-es1938). It seems that everything is setup correctly: all modules load without errors, and pmidi sees the ports [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ pmidi -l Port Client name Port name
