[Alsa-user] Audigy 2zs AC3 passtrough

2004-05-26 Thread Piotr Czarnecki
I tried very long to get working Audigy 2zs (no platinum) streaming compressed ac3 to my amp. No success at this moment with alsa (1.0.4 with kernel 2.6.6 debian unstable). Last time I tried out new oss driver and ac3 works fine with my amp. Alsa work better for normal audio, so at this moment

Intel 8x0 is a really interesting driver. I get ALSA to work with the CCRMA kernel. He fixed something in it. However, trying to download and compile the 2.6.6 stock kernel still generates unresolved symbol errors and version.h problems. This is odd because the 2.6.6 kernel has ALSA built in.

Hi I've just built a new box with an epia 5000 motherboard, Fedora Linux FC2, kernel 2.6.6-1.383. This is my first build of a machine with alsa in the kernel, and first FC2 build. The install detected both the VX222 and the onboard sound chip: 2.6.6-1.383 /proc/asound/cards says: 0 [VX222v2

Hi, Yeah, you need the firmware to have the mixers. Use vxloader (from the alsa-tools package) to initialize the card. - Original Message - From: Darrell Berry [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 2:08 PM Subject: [Alsa-user] digigram vx222v2 on Fedora
