I've updated the server to amanda-backup_server-3.5-1 (64bit) which appears to have fixed the issue. The client that failed most regularly is running amanda-backup_client-3.3.9-1 (32bit). I'll keep monitoring this in case the situation changes but it looks like it's working properly now. On
