Can someone tell me how AMANDA determines when it has reach the end of a
tape or how it determines the total tape length? I'm worried that stuff
written to the end of tape might be lost because AMANDA is running out of
tape unknowingly.

level 1 everyday of the week. Not that this
is a bad thing, but I'm new to AMANDA and am trying to get a better
understanding of the configuration here.
