I'm getting the following odd behavior when doing a restore:
amrecover extract
Extracting files using tape drive /dev/nrst0 on host flame.nodewarrior.org.
The following tapes are needed: DLT1

Sounds like you're using FreeBSD, or another Unix that defaults the
shell to a nologin script.

Just to see if it would work, I tried to restore a Solaris (2.5.1)
ufsdump using NetBSD's restore. To my surprise, it worked, modulo
Solaris ACLs, of course. Amanda's amrecover won't restore them,
however -- it complains that it can't find ufsdump/ufsrestore, and
symlinking them to dump/restore
information, FWIW:

I'm thinking that my only options are upgrading to kernel 2.4 and
recompiling glibc, or switching to a different OS, but if there's any way
around this from the amanda-configuration standpoint, that would be
simplerideas?
