I recently switched my backup server from Linux to NetBSD. It appears
that the file: output driver from the amanda-242-tapeio branch no
longer works, either because of a difference in the OSes, or because
the code I was using under Linux was 3 months older than the code that
I checked out a few days ago.
When I attempt to label tapes, I get:
$ amlabel Nodewarrior JZ1
rewinding, reading labelSegmentation fault - core dumped
There is indeed a corefile in /tmp/amanda (which I can send to anyone
who wants to look at it). The amlabel.debug* output is not very
helpful:
amlabel: debug 1 pid 411 ruid 1004 euid 1004 start time Sun Sep 9 17:12:28 2001
(that's it)
The amanda user and group are set up, and it owns the entire "tape"
directory. The data/ directory exists and has the right perms. It
looks like it gets as far as creating the "info" file, but there's no
label under data/ after the attempted amlabel.
Any ideas?
