I was using Amanda 2.4.2p2 without any particular problem before few days
ago, when I tried to use an HP C1557 DDS3 Autoloader 24x6.
The backup subsystem is working pretty good, the only problem I have is
with amcheck: if the HP is empty (without any mag. loaded) amcheck takes
forever waiting a

When I run the extract command in amrecover, I get:
