[amirc] Re: Time out

2004-12-05 Thread David Rey
 Stephen Harris :
Any idea when an update is coming, mine has timed out
(the Beta that is)

Which beta is that? Here I have been using 3.5.25 68k for ages without
any kind of timeout happening.

[amirc] Re: Time out

2004-12-05 Thread David Rey
 Stephen Harris :
I was using 3.5.25, for some reason it wont work anymore, I thought
the reason was because it had timed out

Check your clock. This message you just posted was dated on 1999...

nice to see that the M/L is still going ;-)

Too bad one can't say the same about the AmIRC developers wrt 68k or
OS4 development.

[amirc] Re: Changing channels

2003-11-28 Thread David Rey
 Ken Wilde :
How do I join another channel on another server without quiting the
program. When I type /quit. AmIRC exits the channel AmIRC quits then I
have to re-start AmIRC again to join another group. What a pain.

Opening the server window, selecting whatever channel and clicking Connect
Thread works for me. You simply get another instance of AmIRC connecting
to that server and joining that channel.

It's just a pity that I can't use a single window for several servers :/

[amirc] Re: sounds

2003-07-05 Thread David Rey
 Daniel Westerberg :
Isn't AmIRC supposed to use datatypes to play sound?
If so, whey can it only play 8SVX samples??

Sorry, this won't help you, but I thought I'd point out that the GUI is
blatantly wrong. You can't select ANY sound without enabling the Beep
checkmark, which in itself calls DisplayBeep(). I don't have any sound gear
attached here to test any of this, but anyway either they should separated
entities, or ticking Beep should *disable* the possibility to select a
sound sample, not the other way around.

[amirc] 3.5.25 - Bad menu handling

2002-10-24 Thread David Rey

Hello,

I have just noticed that after joining a new channel, menu items stop
working in the original window, e.g. RAmiga-Z flushes the buffer in
the second window although that window is inactive and the operation
should affect the other window.

I hope this makes sense :-)
