Just to be clear.
AMSAT rules --- one contact on AO-51 mode V/S, and one contact AO-51 mode
V/U
ARRL rules --- one contact on AO-51 period.
When I asked the ARRL for a ruling a couple years ago this was the answer I
got. One contact on AO-51 regardless of modes.
Is AMSAT allowing
Nick,
Yes DXKeeper works well for satellite contacts. That's what I used for my
recent KH6 Dxpedition for logging.
Make sure you have checked the Propagation box. This will show additional
information including the satellites and the Modes.
Check marking the Awards box let's you add the
Nick,
Yes. Just a matter of selecting the right configuration options. It also
will handle LoTW and eQSL satellite contacts as well. You can create
different configurations for HF, satellite, etc. Probably the most
important point is to set the propagation mode to SAT and add in the

Dear all,
I am Naomi Kurahara, a member of UNITEC-1 project.
We finished the first operation phase with small and big antenna.
During May 21st 7:00:00(UTC) - 17:00:00(UTC), we received signals from UNITEC-1.
Unfortunately we didn't receive after that. UNITEC-1 may have a nap...

Thanks to all who responded. It
is an ELK, NOT Arrow, that is stuck. I am now in
Europe with no antenna, will try to get on the sats anyway somehow.
At least one day, I will work AO-7 from the spot where Slovakia, Hungary, and
Austria touch together, thus 3 countries for one qso.

There will be an AMSAT table at the Hudsonville, MI,

Clint,
VUCC goes by grids, not necessarily who you work on what bird. It is the
grids that matter.

Nominations for the AMSAT Board of Directors must arrive at the AMSAT Office
no later than June 15th. A nomination requires either one current Member
Society or five current individual members. Three directors' terms expire
this year.

Hi All:
I am rebuilding a 440 MHZ Helix that I built several years ago . It worked very
well, but I would like to reduce the size of the reflector to a more manageable
size than I had before. The only reference to reflector size I can find is,
minimum 20 . I may be looking in the wrong places.
Hi Pete,
Take a look at this article on helix ground planes:

It is also possible to make a helix with no ground plane.
This was a cover article of the IEEE Antennas magazine in 1995.
