Hi Carl !
MCubed RAX use 9k6, you see that in an SDR, but don't really hear it.
Aubiesat is CW, but relative weak.
I would start with Explorer 1.
Explorer-1 uses 1k2 and you can clearly hear that in USB or LSB.
Also its signal is relative strong compared to the other sats.
Finally,
Hi Carl,
sorry for the delay in answering your questions.
I agree with Henk - the best way to start is with E1P. This cubesat is very
strong and easy to decode.
Momentarily I use succesful OBJECT F with an center frequency of 437497.5
KHz in USB mode.
I am sure that E1P belongs to the first
I am setting up a satellite station and have the following question. Does it
matter if you use a south center or north center rotor. Is there advantages
using one over the other.

Hi Doug, KE4MSG
Since OSCAR-6 and all LEO satellites I have used north center rotors with
limit swiches operating on south and I got problems pointing exactly the
antennas during the ascending orbits when the satellite comes from south.
If you use south center rotors than the limit switches will
With that rotor it is recommend to use south center.

Nope.
Hamsphere is an internet chat system with an interface that looks like a
radio.
Echolink has real radios connected to it and is usable, through a
repeater for instance, from your VHF handheld.

HamSphere allows non-licensed users ... but I have heard of a few folks who got
the initiative to get their licenses after playing around with it.
Some comments on eHam ...

Hi!
Thanks for the QSOs on the last AO27 pass. I did not hear
the first 2 minutes of the repeater time, but was able to
make 12 contacts in the remaining 5 minutes. Maximum
elevation was only 9 degrees, which I saw as the repeater
shut off.

Most of the motors I repaired did not have the limit switches because they
were early models. There was one the limit switch was broken and another
that had limit switches that I could only attribute to excessive use that
