You need to put the TNC into KISS mode before running their software. At
least that is the case here with a Paccomm TNC.Make the com port settings
match your system (port number, baud).
No need for any port emulators.
It works OK here.

I just had the pleasure of hearing the 0236UTC pass of Funcube AO-73 on my
TH-F6A with nothing but a Comet tri-band antenna on the radio. I was
standing in my living room. For an extremely minimalist receiving setup
like that it was a real trip! Signals were strong from the beacon on
