Hi All,
I wanted to publically thank John, K8YSE, for the incredible job during his
Lake Superior grid expedition this past August. I received a very thick
envelope in the mail today (always a good sign), and was EXTREMELY happy to
find 19 new grids contained within the QSL cards! The cards
Hi all,
I just wanted to say thanks for the QSOs on SO50 yesterday morning while as was
at the CBF Amateur Radio Club. At the time we only had one member and a Sony
video camera, but they both really enjoyed it. I tried the 1805z AO27 pass
along with my foxhunt teammate, K8QY (I wanted him
Hi All,
I received the QSL cards from UX5UO Print in the mail today (10/8), and I will
get them out to everyone over the next couple days. If you have sent a
request, and you do not receive your QSL card(s) within 3-4 weeks, please email
me and I will resend it. Also, if you would like a

Thank you for sending this out - this may answer something I was wondering

I was out during a morning 1300-1400z HO68 pass about 3-4 weeks ago, and as
I was doing the pass, I noticed the S-meter on my TRANSMIT HT was peaking at

Congrats Sebastian! What a coincidence to get that number. I too am
surprised at the lack of satellite VUCCs I am going to be submitting
my application here very soon.

I had this same issue with Orbitron a couple weeks ago. I was getting my
kep updates from celestrak.com, then I switched to stoff.pl and it is
working fine.

Do you mean cross band repeater operating, or do you mean split frequency
operation (xmit on 2m and listen on 440) to work the birds? The Wouxun does
do split frequency operating, but it does not have the cross band repeater
function.

Hi All,
First off I wanted to say thank you for all the QSOs during my mini

Colorado and 3 in Kansas - EM08 (KS) mobile on the way out, DM78, DN70 and DN60
portable in Colorado and EM08, EM19 and EM29 mobile in Kansas on
Hi All!
We just hit WiFi on the way back home As KC0ZHF said I was able to get

Hi Al,
Good morning from beautiful Colorado,
I wanted to let everyone know that we made it into CO last evening and got
settled in at the camp site after a L O N G trip from OH. I was able to get on
SO50 once on the way out from EM08 while sitting at the gas pumps UNDER the
pump roof (for lack of a
All,
I have received several requests for DN60, so we have decided to make a special
trip and work this grid. The good news is that I will put DN60 on the air, the
bad news is that I will only be on one pass on either Wednesday or Thursday
afternoon/evening. I will try to post details if we
I'll third it! Thanks so much John for 15-17 new grids (I am not for sure
on the # - my log is buried in my pack)! I hope your trip was a success,
and I can't wait to see details once I get back!

What is this 'GPSMAP76S'??? If I am understanding correctly, it plots grids
on the GPS screen? If so, is this software or a separate GPS receiver? I
have a Garmin Venture HC, would it be applicable to it? It would be a lot
easier to look down and see what grid you are in on the display
All,
Thank you for the responses to my email this morning. Thanks to Nick
(KB1RVT) for doing a little bit of legwork and discovering that the Venture
HC has the Maidenhead display! Yay!!! It was one of those things I needed,
I had, but never to the time to investigate it.
