I use a plumb bob and plumb line. When north star is first visible, I use these to determine true north on my horizon. I then create in my mind a picture of where that point is on the horizon. Then during daytime, I adjust antenna to point at that point on the horizon. A south-north road

Hi Tim and the list, Thanks for the kind comments. Its not my original idea. I picked it up years ago, possibly from Amsat-UK's journal OSCAR News, or possibly eleswhere. Just happy to pass it on. Someone may find it usefull, or suggest a better/simpler implimentation of the same basic idea.
