I'm writing my diploma thesis currently (until october). So I
Minimal skin as default skin? Well, I don't know if that's a good idea.
There are many people that rate software after their first look, so if they
see our great screenshots on the homepage, download it and then only see
aMSN with the minimal skin, it's not the best first impression. Sure they

I've got two points for the TODO:
1. Concerning the portability of profiles: If you copy the directory of a
profile to the amsn home directory and forget to insert the new profile into
the profiles file, the config.xml of the new profile gets overwritten when
you enter the address manually. It

2. Proposal concerning the auto update function: Shouldn't we extend the
auto update to be able to update files of the core? (Not for major releases,
only for minor updates!) I think it would be a good thing as there are many

I'll continue now merging where I stopped yesterday. Just had to go to bed

I have one general question: 0.97.1 is a bugfix-release, but should we add
some minor improvements, too? I have found two examples:

This one doesn't fit to the current code. There is no piece of code in the
file gui.tcl like in the diff, so there should be no need to merge it.

Hey guys,
I just tried to fix the multi-screen bug mentioned here:
http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=23738 ... but I think we
won't be able to fix this. The problem is, that always after creating a
window the proc moveinscreen is called that places the window on the primary

hey guys,
as i had some free time this afternoon i thought of fixing this
vulnerability, but as vivia told me, it's more a feature than a
vulnerability, because it can be useful to logout and still be able to say
bye or something. so vivia proposed to add an option to disable closing
windows

Yeah, right, it's a virtual group, but the user doesn't know. He sees the
group like a normal group and I think most of them, if they use groups, try
to handle with it like that. But ok, WLM behaves like that, so amsn should
do, too. Anyway, moving back
the contact is in multiple groups,
then the user should be warned that moving a contact to No Group will
remove it from any group it was in, and not just the group it was
dragged from.

Wow thanks a lot everybody for this nice welcome. It's a real pleasure to
me. I think I should introduce myself roughly. Well, I think you all already
know, but my name is Mirko. ;) I'm 24 years old, living in Germany, and
actually I'm studying computer science at university. It's sometimes
no problem. actually a CreateProfile creates the new profile, writes the new
config and reactivates the last profile. i think this behavior is still from
the time before you introduced the new login window, but that isn't really
useful when you try to login with the new profile after that because
maybe it would be useful to add a flag to the plugininfo.xml whether this
plugin may be used in non-profile-mode or not. those plugins like pop3 or
gnotify will not be flagged, so they may be enabled only in profile mode,
and plugins like nudge, winks, inkdraw, webcam shooter, amsn plus may be
another patch from me: after creating a new profile with checking remember
me, amsn only made the login screen invisible but didn't login. restarting
amsn, and logging in again then worked fine. it seems like the code for
creating a profile wasn't adapted to the new login window. it should be

Hi guys,
Today I updated on last SVN and I must say: great work! I started to
translate missing keys for the german translation and noticed two little
bugs in the AV-assistant. I quickly fixed those two and here is the diff. It
was a typo on a translation key and the window-title of the
