it's funny how the screenshot "Send large files" has a 'daily.txt' file being sent with file size : 44 Bytes... now, that's what I call a 'large file' :p skype has a nice BUT simplistic UI. Don't forget amsn's main purpose "the same as the official client's look and feel" that's what made aMSN

believe it or not I saw the skype interface only this week :P It follows the line of Messenger but is much more clean (expecially the win version). I think you may want to take inspiration; WLM sucks in usability, IMO, while Skype looks much better http://www.skype.com/download/screenshots.html
