I'd say this is the right place. We need to debug it first, before
solving the problem.

Hey,
it's not the right place !
several developers already said it... Use forums for that... You don't speak
about development...
Now go on forums and don't send mail anymore here...

Honestly.
Has anyone been able to use aMSN (with a contact list of on-line people
80), without having it freeze from time to time?
tcl: 8.5.0
tk: 8.5.0

I don't think I've ever had 40 contacts online at anyone time.
However I do usually have 20 contacts online in the evening, and my
full CL comes to just over 100. I've had chats with over 10 users at
a time (usually I chat to about 6 users simultaneously), and even

Nope, I kill wish on a bi-daily basis. I have somewhat over 80 people.

doesn't it ever happen when you are typing, that it just stops receiving
input? and after a while, all the letters you've just typed in suddenly
show up? And while frozen, the gui does not respond at all?
i have this kind of behavior on two machines, different archs. (x86 and
amd64)
Tom

That's exactly what I was talking about, too.

I don't know if that's the cause but yeah I figure it must be something like
that.

Mm yes I get that. I think for me it's when plugins freeze, but I'm
not 100% sure.

That doesn't work for me.
I just have to wait. Only _a_ works for me.

First, this is NOT an issue related to aMSN development (unless you're
about to send us a patch, and we'd really be thankful if you did), so
please use the forum for this.
Second, I have a contact list with about 100 people and never noticed this
problem, tcl/tk 8.5 as well. When I am just
no memleaks in the latest SVN.. and as Vivia said, use the forums :
http://amsn-project.net/forums
and stop using this mailing list unless it's development related.
