Hi everyone !
Since this change, my amsn tray icon is not correctly resized (see attachment).
If I manually change my status, the icon size is OK. But I don't have
anymore the bug when multiple amsn icons are overlayed (like Salatiel
Filho at the beginning of this thread)
(Using kicker (kde
It still doesn't work correctly, though I can't really understand what the
problem is :

Hmmm, I seem to be able to reproduce this bug here.
When starting amsn about 5 times, I get such an ugly icon too.
It seems like two icons are overlayed with different sizes.
A slightly modified trayicon_callback (see below) gives the following
output:
$ amsn
Autopath
= /usr/local/lib/tcl8.5
Sometimes I get three callbacks by utils/linux/traydock/libtray.c
trayicon_callback: resizing from 38x38 to 24x24.
trayicon_callback: resizing from 38x38 to 100x30.
trayicon_callback: resizing from 38x38 to 22x22.
When the 100x30 occurs, I have a small icon overlayed too (makes sense,
we resize
Talink about the null trayicon , i have just reconnect to amsn and
the icon disappeared. See the attach amsn is between azureus and skype
icons.
If i right click in that empty space , i got amsn menu :)

The bug with all images in one should be fixed but for this last bug I think
it's a bug from the WM/X11 which doesn't send a draw message...

Tested and working great on XGL now :)
About the other bug , just curious , if it is a WM/X11 , why changing
status fix that ?
Thanks.

Actually , a few more cube rotates , and the icon still overlaps :/
Maybe SVN isn't sync yet. I'll try to download later again.

Don't expect more changes I think...
About changing the status, it's because we force the draw of the new icon...

Do you know if this is an AMSN issue or an XGL bug? I don't think we
should make a workaround if it's a xgl bug...
Greets.

Actually i think it is an amsn bug , cause sometimes even using normal
X , the icon disappeared or became strange. Take a look on the
attached image to see what i mean by strange.
Every other trayicons works ok , like azureus, amule , skype. I think
a refresh to the tryicon would make things
No matter who's at fault, what Alvaro said remains valid, this is a workaround
for a bug, the best thing to do is to fix the bug itself.
Make sure you have the latest SVN AND that you recompiled amsn (make clean
all).. if it still happens, then we'll see this issue as being valid.
Also, could
I got something weird yesterday too. I had two amsn instances open (dunno
if it's relevant), something in my pc was causing high load, I tried to
close one instance and the other one got a weird trayicon - correct in
dimensions, but the icon was a cropped part of a larger version than what
it

First of all: you doing nothing with your PC does not imply that nothing
happens to aMSN. As said earlier in the thread: a contact changing his/her
state might also trigger the bug. So the chance to find the cause is bigger
when you are actually busy with your pc.
I recognize the bug myself
Well , here at home i use dropiline gnome 2.14.3 , slackware current.
College use gnome 2.10 on debian [32 bits] and gnome 2.12 on fedora [64 bits]

each , let's say , 5 seconds ? I said this 'cause tray icon disappears
a lot , when using XGL;
And to make it appear , i have to click in the empty space where amsn
icon was [it still there , just there is no visible icon] and
