That is what I tried, but I wanted to edit the /etc/hosts file and when
I tried the push I was told that the file system was read only, so I
couldn't push the file.

Is there a way to connect to the Android emulator (I am on Windows 7)
with Putty? I did a search and tried connecting to ports 5554 and
on the localhost, but that didn't work.

When I had DBHelper not as an activity then I was getting a different
error for ProgressDialog, stating that the number of parameters for show
were incorrect, when obviously they weren't.

So, my return from doInBackGround is *false*. The parameter passed into
