[android-developers] Merging Apps

We are facing a situation where three apps (slightly different 
functionality, different package id's, same signing cert) need to be merged 
into one. So far, research is pointing to this 
solution:

Question: is there maybe a quicker/easier way to achieve the same result 
that we failed to find?

[android-developers] Get true timestamps of motion sensors on Android

It is known that readings of motion sensors are cached on queues, so there 
might be elapsed time between when the data are actually sampled and when 
they are popped from the queue. Is the timestamp member in SensorEvent the 
time when the data are sampled? According to the documentation in 
SensorEvent 
, 
it is probably not. Is there a way to measure the "true" timestamp at which 
the data are sampled? Thank you.

[android-developers] NFC android wear (Huawei watch 2.0)

Hello,

I am new to android development and currently building a nfc reader for 
wear. The problem I am facing is with the function  --- 
"adapter.enableForegroundDispatch(activity, 
pendingIntent, filters, techList)". Whenever I am running my code it is 
throwing "unsupported exception" on OnResume method. (The same piece of 
code works perfectly fine with the phone )

>From what i have understood, in order to detect a tag the application needs 
to be in the foreground which is done by the above function. Since its 
failing here so my pending intent is null and no tag is getting detected. 
If someone could guide me the way it would be really helpful. I have looked 
over internet regarding the wear development and could not get much help 
regarding nfc development.

[android-developers] Using Google Play Books on Studio virtual devices

I can't use Google Play Books on Studio's Android emulator. I've tried the 
Nexus 5X with 8.0 and 7.1.1 (which is the only thing available with Google 
Play). I can get everything installed and run the app, but the pages of the 
books are blank. I can even long press on a page and can highlight the 
invisible text on the page. I can also use Read Aloud and it will read the 
invisible text. I just can't see it. Any ideas?

[android-developers] Java Billing API consumables

Hi,

i implemented in Java an inapp purchasing system using the billing api 
 
and have the following problem:
- i make a purchase on deviceA (via getBuyIntend)
- do not consume on deviceA
- start the same app on deviceB with same google account
- getProducts delivers the un-consumed product
- consume the purchased product on deviceB
- start app again on deviceA
- getProducts also delivers the un-consumed product

problems now on deviceA:
- when calling the following url i get a responce that the product is 
purchaseState=0(purchased) and consumedState=1(consumed) 
https://www.googleapis.com/androidpublisher/v2/applications/packageName
/purchases/products/productId/tokens/token

that is correct. 

Questions:
- how to delete the item from deviceA that it does not appear in the list 
of getProducts?
- is it a cache issue?
- sure, i could ignore it on deviceA, but i get the consumptionState only 
after https call
- is there a way to update/clear device cache and get a fresh list when 
calling getProducts(...) from google play server
- i also experienced that sometimes getProducts() needs a some minutes to 
deliver un-consumed products
