Hello everyone,
I have just joined a project that uses Arches for its main database. I am
interested in connecting to the database through QGIS's DB Manager. The
previous project I worked for used this functionality in QGIS very
successfully with a relational SQL database. The project team were
geometries out of the TileInstance table and

Hello again Adam,
Apologies; I read your blog post on my way into work on the train and I missed
the part that did indeed answer my original question.
Thanks very much. I will try it out and get back to you.

Just adding an update on this.
Firstly, we are struggling to make any progress because an upgrade to
Arches v4 is currently being considered by our project team. If that goes
forward, it appears that this would be a non-starter as the database in v4
might be stored in such a peculiar way that i

Dear all,
Is it possible to use and to easily create and query numeric fields within
ARCHES v3?
I am working for a project at the moment that has been using ARCHES v3 for
a number of years and all of the dating is handled as text fields e.g.
'Roman', 'Iron Age' etc. This is causing us problem
and query on incomplete

We improved the format of our .shp export and implemented an advanced search
bar within arches. It’s messy but it kind of works. I never managed to follow
your solution because the IT people couldn’t pass the first step of editing the
postgres config file to listen for my IP address.
