In the testing which we have done with both ArchivesSpace 3.2 and 3.3, we
are seeing significant slowdowns in both OAI and API processing.
I'm trying to determine if this is something we have misconfigured on our
local servers or if this is something inherent to the newer versions of

My understanding is that this is not possible.
ArchivesSpace does not expose any way to limit
Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a way set up an ArchivesSpace user so they
can query the API but they are blocked from logging-in to the staff
interface?
Thanks,
Andrew.

On our local version of ArchivesSpace, we are testing API output and are
finding that we are getting extra Unicode characters on export. It looks like
the data is right in the database, but doesn't quite come

We are testing the API interface. So far, we have been able to get

Where can I find documentation on API authorization/access? I'm guessing

It is not – the API is fundamentally required for the application to function
at all, so it’s more or less always going to be running if any component is
running.
On a separate note, many installations don’t necessarily _expose_ it; the API
by default is run so

Do you all know if the API is governed by an on/off switch in ASpace, like the
PUI (and by default set one way or the other), or has to be created?
Thanks!

Hi ASpace community,
We're working on a project using the API and have a question about digital
object components. We've looked through the API documentation on GitHub and
can't quite find what we're after, but maybe we've missed it.
Can anyone help us with a method for getting digital object
Dear AS Community,
We are trying to make our AS instance secure before moving into
production, and we are curious how institutions are securing their
API. Right now, our calls are limited by IP range, and most (but not
all for some reason) calls require authentication. Basically, we are

If your discovery interface supports OAI-PMH harvesting you may want to
consider that as an alternative to the API or webscraping. We plan on
exploring using it with our new Primo discovery interface (once some other
Primo bugs are fixed first).

It looks like your example got a little mangled along the way: I assume what’s
between the “<…>” doesn’t belong.
But the ‘-H’ switch sends “q:java” as a HTTP header, not as a search param, so
with a null query string, you are asking for everything.
Try maybe:
Good morning, all!
I have a mystery… My institution is trying to pull from the API to integrate
the results in our search discovery interface of our catalog. The mystery is
that apparently, our API call seems to bring back bogus results whereas if we

Is it because your existing templates all have date fields, even if they are
