I'd include some discussion that voluntary exchange is not a zero sum
game. When I do simple exercises with teachers they are amazed about it
and it leads to good discussions.

In the recent PBS series Commanding Heights Alfred Kahn pointed out that
when he took over as head of the CAB, the largest division within the
agency was the enforcement division, making sure that prices were no too

This reminds me of a paper I read as an undergrad in micro theory. I
think it was by Harvey Liebenstein and titled Bandwagon, Snob, and Veblen
Effects. I don't remember the journal, but it was probably from the 1960s
or early 1970s.
