First, let us define, what I mean by simple here. It means that there
are not too many twists and turns in the tune sung by the singers. Of
course, the orchestra and the feel of the song is immensely wonderful.
Finally, being a simple song never takes out the creative aspect of

I think in recent years Rahman wants to be simple in his song
structure/orchestratraions and mainly lyrics. You can see it in Khoon
chala, Jaage hain, Pray for me brother, Sahara (slow) and Alive etc. And
my vote goes to 'Alive' , what a simple melody with nice piano
background :)
