I've got a form with a date field on it. Note that that's a date
field (which at the database level stores a juilian value, like
2455463), and not a date/time field (which stores an epoch value,
like 1285214400)
Now, if I try to do

doesn't involve making whole new classes?

From what I understand, the permissions of the user specified in the
prefetchConfig.xml file determines which users will actually benefit from
the caching.
If I create a user and give it every permission imaginable and use that as
the prefetch user, will that cover everyone, or does the matching

I followed all the instructions on how to set up the JK connector to have
Apache passthrough to Tomcat, but when I try to access mid-tier, I get a 404

I've got years and years of ARS experience, but I'm a bit of a CMDB novice.
Can anybody tell me the intended (or non-intended but useful) usage of the
BMC_Person class in CMDB? In an ITSM 7.0 environment where we already are
populating CTM:People, I'm not sure what benefits we get from

How many Mid-Tier licenses would I need for the setup diagrammed below? I imagine it would be 6, one for each MT on each ARS. Would that be 6 times more expensive than a simple Internet--MT--ARS--DB setup, or does the one license fee cover it?

Looking to upgrade a ARS 5.x server to ARS 7. It's possible that it might not be feasible to get all of the potentially connecting User Tools upgraded in a timely fashion. Will upgrading the server have any adverse effects on those clients still connecting with a
5.x User Tool?
**
Just to followup myself with another question Let's say we decide to start upgrading User Tools *before* we start the server upgrade process. Would there be any issues using a 7.x User Tool against a 5.x Server?

Can anybody tell me what the list prices are for Remedy ARS Server
licenses, ARS Fixed User licences and ARS Floating User licenses?
I can't seem to find that info anywhere on their website, and the phone
rep wants to ask me a million questions before they'll even consider
telling me.
- $2400 each - plus maintenance cost every yearMaintenance is usually 15% of that list price.Timothy Palmer
