Had similar issue with a 7.5 install. The main issue was that the installer does not like if you want to create a db user widt password with a number as the first char. Had to remove the database, aradmin user and the arole role and then start overagain. And then just use the defualt values. --

What does the arerror.log show for the time when the ARServer is starting up? What does armonitor.log show during a startup? What ARERR number is associated with the login failure? Is is the 3300? a. If it is the 3300, update the ar.conf and disable alert events. Are there any failures in the
