RE: New Meta-Update Samples

2018-05-22 Thread Ben Chernys
Hi Folks,

Another new sample added - a bit more complex. This sample can be used
after a VM replication or Production database restore to development to fix
server references. It also backs up and restores some specific server group
type tables and deletes notification and email records if desired.

Cheers

Subject: AD: New Meta-Update Samples

Hi Folks,

www.softwaretoolhouse.com has been
updated to show just how easy Meta-Update scripting is. A new section under
Meta-Update Learning shows JavaScript enabled samples.

Please see samples
  for a
script that Approves a set of changes from an Excel sheet, builds a CSV of
all Server Info for attachment to BMC tickets, a one-line script to set
Admin mode (or anything else) on and off, an arschema tool that adds columns
for record and workflow counts, a batch system to control server logging.

Coming soon: A single script to transfer any table from one server to
another, a script to backup and restore tables, a script to change all
server references after a database restore from another server or a VM
replication.

These scripts and more are included in the distribution. Trials are free
and allow you to use Meta-Update without restrictions for 30 days. You can
single step these scripts and watch what happens.

Remember that Meta-Update can make connections to multiple Remedy and
ServiceNow servers and migrate dislike data between the two.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi,

There was a problem with a server relaying emails to the ARSList. The server
was down from Sunday to Monday. All messages should now have been delivered.
