Re: [arts-users] ARTS SSD

2021-05-17 Thread Isaac Moradi
Hi Vasileios,

Thank you for taking time to put this together. After playing with the code
realized that it wouldn’t even read a single NetCDF file. The solution I found
was to uninstall the NetCDF4 using conda (conda uninstall netcdf4) then install
it using pip install netcdf4. Thankfully, this did not affect reading other
habits.

Thanks for your help.

Best,
Isaac

Re: [arts-users] ARTS SSD update 1.1.0

2021-04-11 Thread Patrick Eriksson

Robert,

No, the update did not include the azimuthally random oriented (ARO) ice
particle.

For ice habits, the update covered only totally random orientation. But
also introduced ARO data for non-spherical rain drops.

Bye,

Patrick

Hello,

I saw the latest update on the ARTS scattering database for version
1.1.0, and that the DDA calculations at low frequencies used a higher
eps value. I was wondering if these updated calculations also include
the azimuthally random oriented ice particles or if only the totally
random ice particle calculations have been updated. The online archive
for the oriented particle calculations
(https://zenodo.org/record/3727673#.YG9omi2cai4) suggests that the
latest update was in 2019.

Thank you,
