Hi all,
i try to use PGSQL app effectively, but there are two problems:
1. If i use PGSQL like
exten = s,3,PGSQL,Query resultid ${connid} SELECT count(*) FROM credit
WHERE callerid=${callerid};
an error occurs with breaking query string at ( (first bracket).
Newbie question, please excuse me for this
one. If an admin adds and extension in the voicemail.conf file will
asterisks read from .conf files dynamically? Or does the asterisks daemon
need to be restarted? I guess this question pertains to all .conf
files. Also is there support for MySQL?
Sorry forgot the subjsect line

I've been working on a fixed point mec3 echo can. The old mec3 which
crashed a lot of peoples machines because it was floating point in the
kernel is now available as mec3-float.h. I'd appreciate any testing /
feedback on the new fixed point mec3 echo can. Thanks!
Mark
Thanks,
Dan

PS: Does this new MEC3 take the amount of taps to use from Asterisk's
zapata.conf now? I remember it always used 256 taps, while it now,
like the others, defaults to 128. mec3.h still has 256 as default.
The 256 is the amount of space it allocates -- not quite as efficient at
that allocation
Oops, a remenent of when it was still FP. Should be fixed now.

Hey Mark,
I wouldn't make MEC3 the default just yet. I was just testing with
MeetMe, which was one of the things where MEC3 went wrong for me in the
past. After around 8 channels from an E100P-connected PRI joined the
conference, everything became one big chaos of noise. When enough

I've read that you can run UML (user mode linux) under valgrind. I'm
looking for someone to setup UML running under valgrind and test with some
Digium hardware to help test for any potential problems at the zaptel
layer. I'm willing to make some hardware freely available to someone who

I setup Extensions first?

sounds like either you are timing out getting DNIS information from your

Thanks for the info... I've answered your questions below. I am not
experienced with telecom at this level (yet), but this sounds like really
good info to quiz XO's switch tech over.

Use 1 for timing. You actually do have a timing source to sync to.
As for slips and bipolar violations...
T1s are just high speed serial lines. A sleep is when you loose sync
with the far side and when you see a 1 come across the line, you may not
know which bit it was for. This would be a slip.
Steven,
I thought that 1 would mean that my T100P card would set the timing for
the line. Is this incorrect? If I am reading this wrong then please set me
straight.
My carrier has their end set to be the sync source. If I set the timing to
1, won't that conflict?
