Hi All,
I am trying to tune out some echo on a analogue line and have run
ztmonitor to get some info. When i run it, i get a RX reading when the
line is idle - is this normal? eg:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] zaptel-1.2.10]# ./ztmonitor 1 -vv
Visual Audio Levels.
Use zapata.conf

Hardware is an SM56 card (X100P clone). When the line hangs up, ztmonitor
displays full bar (or whatever maximum allowed by rxgain) in RX. It only
drops zero when the line picks up (and remote was silent). Is this
something of concern? The zap channel seems to work despite echo.
I have been having no success with my zap interface, and am trying to
use ztmonitor to fix it.
I am running Trixbox 1.1 and so far have one x100p card (shows up as
'Wildcard).
I tried many manual attempts at setting rx and tx gain with no results.
Then I read:

Err, stupid me. Seems like the phone is hungup, but when I start ztmonitor, the line is picked up. I guess the line in India is pretty loud b/c the RX bounces off the charts, changed it to (-4) and all my problems are solved.

Good Day,
I have a weird issue using zaptel-1.2.3 and a PRI with 8 voice
channels.
With nobody on the phone using ztmonitor I get the following:
Why would I have such high TX signals on certain channels.

Hi,
Thanks that worked I was trying to get more details... apparently you
are only allowed 2 v's so both of these work.
./ztmonitor 1 -v
./ztmonitor 1 -vv
with the later giving more detail..
Thanks Again.

I am trying to get ztmonitor to record a channel for me.
I issue the ./ztmonitor 1 -v -f channel1.rawcommand,
And the channel1.raw file is created, but when I exit the program
(control-c), the size of the *.raw file is 0 bytes.
The program does update the screen with the VU Meter interface,

We just replaced our old system at work with Asterisk. We use a TDM
card with 3 FXO ports. In tuning my gains, I discovered that the
on-hook rx levels do in fact waver a little bit. Line 1 is right around
145, Line 2 is around 235, Line 3 is around 380, and Line 4, which
doesn't go to a POTS
If the RX has a constant 2 # marks when no one is on the phone, thats a bad
phone line, right?

I have a x101p and I can't seem to get ztmonitor to work on it. I've
tried it on 2 different machines. One with a SBLive! card and the other
with a AMD-768 [Opus] Audio (rev 03) chip. Neither machine give me a
graph in ztmonitor 1 -v mode. If I run ztmonitor without the -v I
get:
Ah! I just checked out the latest ztmonitor out of cvs and it works
just fine.
