Any recommendations for 'cooking genre' style games?
I'm looking for an audiogame (if one exists... I hope one does) that follows a similar gameplay pattern to typical cooking games. To make it a bit clearer what I'm talking about, the gameplay usually works like this: you recieve orders
Re: audiogame jam 2.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything about this jam until today (when it started). So I'm not sure if I'd be able to pull anything halfway decent together in time. But hopefully we get some cool stuff out of this!

Re: Monumental news out of GDC
Hopefully the rest of the big players follow suit... and the developers of games take advantage of this. Imagine if TTS output was possible in Pokemon- I'd turn it on probably.

Re: Pokemon go?
It's made by a smaller company called Niantic on behalf of Nintendo. However, neither company seems to be big on replying to people who ask them questions or request features. So while your best bet would be to contact Niantic, they probably wouldn't reply.

Re: How to get started with Pokemon GO with a visual impairment
@nuno69 No, I'm sighted, I was just making a note that the game is pretty glitchy.@sneak The pokemon tracking function doesn't function right now. It always states that the pokemon are at the furthest possible difference away,
Re: How to get started with Pokemon GO with a visual impairment
This game is annoying enough to play as it is without a visual impairment. The servers keep crashing, and I went out today for a couple hours but caught no Pokémon. It's good when it does work, though.

@boy: Thank you for the suggestion, and maybe I will check out Text Game Maker as I am learning Japanese, but I plan to program my own engine for this game so that it can have voice acting and such. I might put out something smaller as I'm working on it, but I

Re: Role playing audio games
Thanks, guys. I am taking note of all of these things and I'm going to try to work out a strategic battle system that is challenging but still enjoyable to play. It will take a while to get a fully featured game out but I think this is an interesting challenge
Role playing audio games
I've seen a lot of people saying there aren't nearly enough RPGs that are audio games and, as role playing games are practically the only type of game I play, I'm interested in trying to program one. What kind of RPG are people interested in? What kind of features
Re: Pokemon Walkthroughs for the blind
@Ross I am on my way to beating Omega Ruby. Once I have, I will help out with the guide making for the more complicated areas if I can.

That sounds awesome, actually. I like smaller conventions a lot better than larger ones. They're usually a lot more friendly in atmosphere.I'm kind of nervous about posting my email or social media things on a public forum, especially one that I just joined. All of my

Re: Introductions
@Aaron My normal accent is a Canadian accent, specifically Vancouver (I sound a bit like this girl) but it is slightly British because I lived there as a young child. I was thinking that I'd be interested in doing a pokemon trainer or Officer Jenny/Nurse Joy/Magma Grunt
Re: Introductions
@Aaron: I've never heard of that before, but now that I have I think I might be able to make it down to the Petersborough event this year or next. I had to trash my costumes that I'd already made, but I've done a female version of Hawkeye (the Avengers) and a Mew Ichigo
Re: Introductions
Hi, I'm Dino (just a nickname) and I'm a teen from Canada (but moving to England very shortly). Full disclosure: I can see. I'm just really interested in audio games from both a programming challenge standpoint and the use of audio as a medium to create games. There are a
