Once you get past the setup screen you can access it from options. I forget exact button presses, but keep in mind options now is access from the main menu by pressing the equivalent of the start button. I forget what each console calls it now.

So with my limited knowledge of the system itself, this is most likely not possible due to the active game taking complete priority over the processing power. I asked this as well when I was at Microsoft last year.
