Regarding Energy Burst, the description does describe it as a physical attack. Given that it's an introductory magic attack for less developed Manamon, it's probably ok that the best they can do is to augment their physical attacks

Key, nope, there are no move tutors, the only moves you ever get are the ones your Manamon learn naturally, and in rare cases moves granted by equipment. There is a guy later on who can teach a move your mon can learn at a lower level
