You shouldnt need to mess with the fans. Seriously, if the fans are needed, theyll come on, and if they arent, they wont. Ive done Bitcoin mining on this iMac and its a wonder the thing didnt melt with the fans running that high. URL:

At chris, try not to mess with the fan to much. Apple sets its default revolutions to make the system as stable as possible. You dont want to unknowingly over heat your machine.URL:

Hi.I was told about an application for Mac OS X that would allow you to set your fan speed.Whenever I install it and run it, I do not see it in the status bar. VOiceOver acts like the icon for the application is not there at all.Why is this?
