This isn't really something you have to worry about these days. Chances are unless it's a really crappy drive or if it's a one off bad unit, the drive will still be usable as your preparing to get a new laptop some 5 years

Hi, The thing you are talking about with ssd's is the write cycles. each ssd comes with the amount of data that can be written to the cells, usually 100tb 200tb and more its different on each ssd, usually the bigger the

I have a Kingston hyper-x savage in my desktop and it's run fine for 4 years now with no degradation. I do have a secondary 4tb hdd for data though. the ssd is a system drive mostly.

Let's see, I so far I had a SSD in my windows seven PC sense 2014. I have not replaced the PC nor the hard drive yet. Of cource, I have a spinning drive for data. I keep my pc mostly in either stand by or running pretty

I really wouldn't worry about it. I use a laptop with SSD only, without HDD. It worked without any problems for about two and a half years now. The firmware of modern SSD's are more than capable of straining memory cells
