Would NVDA run on Windows 98? I remember having difficulty getting it to run on ME, but I also remember being told that it should work on ME.

How badly stuck are you for RAM, exactly? Going back to Windows 98 will certainly save you RAM, but it's very drastic.

OK, cool.My XP VM has all the cores of my CPU (4.0 GHz) plus 2 GB RAM. In practice more is better, but XP can only use about 3 GB for process memory.

hey,I just installed windows 7 on the vm to see what happen. but the audio works fine. no issues at all. but for xp, the audio still stutters. this must be the VMware problem. has anyone here on the VMware's forum

At the same time, 3gb ram is rather low. WIndows7 is very much ram dependent. At this point, I'd recommend getting a ram upgrade. I'd recommend 8gb ram. WHat is your processor, single or duel core?

Nah, it's just the buffer. Windows xp uses the creative soundblaster es1371, newer virtual machines are capable of running vmware's new hd audio soundcard. About adding the line, really you can add it wherever

To start nvda, press ctrl+alt+n.As for the studdering audio, that is a problum with windows 8.I fixed it by upgrading to windows 10.

Most likely you won't even need an answer file, vmware's easy install feature can set you up most of the way to the point that all you will need to do is wait for the startup sound, hit windows+U to get narrator up
