If you're getting any unit through a grant, get the Touch. Seriously. You'll be a lot happier with one. Besides, the Polaris is still on Lolypop, and does not tap into Android's full potential. The Touch Plus will.

yes there is both. The micro SD card that goes under the battery if you decide to put one there expands what the device designates as internal storage. Then there is the standard SD slot on the back that you can put any card

Once braille displays come with a 2.4ghz dongle like my Korsair K63 does, eliminating the Bluetooth connection, the stand-alone braille display may pass for a stable connection. Until then, Bluetooth is still very buggy
